Privacy notice

What we collect when you send us a brief or browse this site, where it is kept, who sees it, and how to change your mind.

Last updated

In short

  • We collect what you type into the brief form, plus where your visit came from (for example, which ad or post), so we can reply and quote.
  • Your brief is kept in our own system on Amazon Web Services in Mumbai, India, and a copy goes to our team by email.
  • Analytics only runs if you accept it, and you can change that at any time.
  • We do not sell your details or add you to a mailing list. Email hello@scniq.com to see, correct or delete what we hold.

Who we are

SCNIQ is a creative studio working from Dubai and Mumbai. This notice covers SCNIQ Social at social.scniq.com, and the shared parts of our other sites, scniq.com and design.scniq.com (they share the cookie choice described below).

We decide how the details on this site are used, and you can reach us about anything here at hello@scniq.com.

When you send a brief

What you tell us

  • Your name, email address and company.
  • A phone or WhatsApp number, if you choose to give one.
  • The service you need, your brief, the deadline, and optionally the person who approves the work and a budget range.
  • Whether you need an NDA first. If you do, the form does not let you send files or links until it is signed.
  • Files you upload (up to five) or a link to them, if you choose to share them.
  • For events: the type of event, its date, the city or venue, expected attendance and the event budget.
  • Your agreement to us storing these details to reply to you. We record the time you agreed.

What the site adds on its own

So we know which campaigns and pages bring in briefs, the form also sends:

  • Campaign tags in the link you arrived on (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term), for this visit and for your first visit.
  • Ad click identifiers from Google (gclid) or Meta (fbclid), if the link carried one.
  • The page you first landed on, the website that sent you there, and the page you sent the brief from.
  • Your browser's user agent (the browser and device type it reports).

To stop automated spam, the form also checks how long it took to fill in, and our server briefly uses your IP address to limit repeated submissions. Neither is saved with your brief.

The form only sends when you press submit. Nothing you type is stored before that.

Where it is kept, and who sees it

  • Our content system. Your brief and any files are stored in SCNIQ's own content management system, which runs on Amazon Web Services in the Mumbai region (ap-south-1), India. Only our team can open briefs, and files can only be downloaded by a signed-in administrator.
  • Email to our team. When a brief arrives, a notification with its details is sent to the SCNIQ team through Resend, an email delivery service. Files are listed by name, not attached. The email lands in our Google Workspace mailbox.
  • Hosting. This website is served by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel and Amazon Web Services process technical data such as your IP address to deliver and protect the site.
  • Fonts. The site loads its typeface from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google when a page opens.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UAE or India. We use them only to run the site and handle your brief, and we do not share your brief with anyone else without your permission, unless the law requires it.

What we use it for

  • To read your brief, reply to it, and send you a scope and a price.
  • To arrange an NDA if you asked for one.
  • To understand which campaigns and pages lead to briefs, in totals rather than to profile you.
  • To keep the form free of spam and abuse.

We rely on your agreement when you tick the consent box, and on the steps needed to reply to a request you made. We do not sell your details, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

How long we keep it

We keep a brief, its files and its attribution details for 24 months after our last contact with you, then delete them. If the brief becomes a project, we keep what the contract, invoicing and the law require for as long as they require it. Briefs identified as spam are deleted sooner.

You can ask us to delete your brief earlier at any time.

Analytics and your choice

We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to see how the site is used: which pages are viewed, which buttons are pressed, and whether a visit led to a brief. Your name, email, phone number and brief are never sent to them.

On your first visit we ask whether you accept analytics. We use Google's Consent Mode, so until you accept, analytics and advertising storage stay switched off and no analytics cookies are set; Google may receive limited signals without cookies, such as that a page was viewed. If you accept, Google Analytics cookies are set and Google's advertising signals are allowed, so we can tell whether our ads lead to briefs. If you decline, they stay off.

You can change your choice at any time: . You can also clear this site's cookies in your browser settings, and we will ask again.

We work from the UAE and India, and aim to handle your data in line with the laws that apply there, including the UAE's Personal Data Protection Law and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act.
